Martin Brook has been instrumental in developing and restructuring certificate programs for IDP, specifically in finance and global business management. He is highly committed to the success of his students and is always willing to go an extra step to coach and mentor students who seek his assistance.

Elise Miller, Fall Program for Freshmen
Elise Miller began teaching for the program in 1985. She has dedicated her teaching career to conveying the craft of powerful, effective writing and critical thinking skills, much to the benefit of Cal freshmen. She constantly strives to find ways to improve the format and materials used in her English 1B course, recognizing the importance of engaging ever-evolving freshman classes in an electronic age.

Susan Moore, Behavioral and Health Sciences
Susan Moore is one of the founding instructors in the Professional Program in the Study of Loss and Grief. She helps facilitate discussion among the other instructors about the program and their courses, consults regularly with program staff about each year's course offerings and schedules, and helps develop new electives in the program.

Margaret Steen, an active writer and editor in the San Francisco Bay Area, teaches several online Extension courses, as well as staff development writing workshops for UC Berkeley. She readily shares her own writing experiences with her students and provides them with writing instruction and sage advice on how to become an active participant in their own writing and editing communities.

Suzy Thomas has been an instructor in the Certificate Program in College Admissions and Career Planning for 10 years. She not only fills an essential need for prospective college admissions counselors but also goes above and beyond to provide a meaningful and thorough framework by which to counsel students and young adults.
