Cheryl Allen, Business
Cheryl Allen serves as instructor, curriculum developer and teacher mentor, an impressive workload, even for a project management expert. During her nearly 10 years of experience at UC Berkeley Extension, she has consistently received top evaluations from her students. Allen recently traveled to the Czech Republic to participate in a corporate training program in Prague. The company loved her teaching and requested that Allen come back for future training sessions. Her classes in project management help students study for and pass the difficult Project Management Professional (PMP) exam.
Flor Feldman, Fall Program for Freshmen
Flor Feldman has been teaching mathematics for the Fall Program for Freshmen since 1986. During her tenure, she has continually sought new educational techniques, including the use of special software to give her students more timely feedback on their homework assignments, as well as more learning resources. Her rigorous approach to teaching mathematical theory and concepts prepares incoming freshmen for the demands of student mathematics on campus. Feldman also teaches a popular series of self-paced mathematics courses for the regular Extension public.
Carol Lethaby, Education
Carol Lethaby is popular with students, teacher trainees and her colleagues because of her expertise and dynamic teaching style. Lethaby’s teaching experiences in other countries and cultures and her work as a materials writer are invaluable to her work as an instructor in the Certificate Program in Teaching English as a Second Language. Students seek out courses that she teaches for their continuing professional development needs. In addition to her popularity with students, Lethaby is also instrumental in the development of new programs and initiatives for Extension, most recently with the Intensive Academic English Program.
