Introduction to High-Tech Product Management and Marketing

Gain the real-world knowledge necessary to become a successful product manager or product marketing manager. Learn practical tools and solutions for product management—launch, marketing, positioning, and life cycle—and for brand management. Additional topics include analyst/public relations, customer relationship management (CRM), lead-generation programs, conducting competitive analyses, and writing marketing requirements documents (MRD).

SUZANNE KUSHNER, B.A., is senior manager of global demand generation programs for IXIA. She has more than 15 years of broad-based technology marketing experience at start-ups and publicly traded companies. Her expertise includes demand generation, public relations, CRM, search marketing, and ROI-focused outbound programs.
MICHAEL MULLANY, M.B.A., is chief product officer for RingCentral Inc., a provider of on-demand unified communications to small business. Prior to RingCentral, he led marketing for PeakStream, a provider of multi-core development platforms acquired by Google. Mullany also led worldwide marketing and product management for Vmware.

MARK GAYDOS, M.B.A., has more than 20 years of high-tech marketing experience, ranging from roles in large companies, such as Oracle and SAP, to four successful start-ups. Currently he is the vice president of marketing at VirtuOz, a leader in enterprise virtual agents. In 1997 Gaydos founded this course to teach students real-world marketing methods in a fun way. He is the author of Marketing in the Time of Cholera.
