Practicum in Course Design for ESL/EFL Teachers
X327.1 (3 semester units in Education)
A requirement in the Certificate Program in Teaching ESLBuild on prior coursework in methodology, second-language acquisition, linguistics, and cross-cultural communication and gain project-based practical experience in the fundamentals of course design. Move through the curriculum cycle from needs assessment to objective writing to lesson/material development to evaluation. Embedded in the course are exercises in teaching techniques, classroom management, and testing/assessment. Enrollment is restricted. Prerequisite: Completion of all coursework for the TESL Certificate.
