This workshop provides an overview of historical and contemporary perspectives on alcohol and drug abuse. Basic principles of diagnosis and assessment are presented with a focus on detection of alcohol and drug problems in patients who appear in a variety of healthcare systems, including private practice.
You cover the numerous possible relationships between addictive behavior and psychopathology. You also learn how to recognize serious health and life-threatening medical complications and how to address them. Reader is included in course fee.
