Making Math Real: Time and Money
X303.9 (1 semester unit in Education)
Instruction for the "Time" unit includes modifying and utilizing appropriate manipulatives; multisensory instruction for telling time to the hour, half-hour, and minute; and word problem applications. Instruction for the "Money" unit includes strategies to support students’ memories to identify coins and values, and counting mixed coins systematically. Tuition/reader $225; optional credit $175.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Making Math Real: Overview within the last three years.

MICHAEL CURRY, ET, is a certified educational therapist and former elementary school educator. He has been personally trained and mentored by David Berg, ET, creator and founder of the Making Math Real Institute. Curry has been using Making Math Real since 1998. Currently, he is the associate director of the Making Math Real Institute.
