Solar Energy: Understanding Policy Driven Markets
X432 (1 semester unit in College of Natural Resources)
Current U.S. solar energy industry operates predominately in policy-driven markets. Learn key solar policy drivers in the United States. You will study an overview of major solar markets in the United States, real world case studies of successful solar programs and the policy and advocacy processes behind them. Leave the class understanding critical drivers of solar markets and how to affect changes. You will be able to evaluate solar markets and have the tools to promote adoption and advance business opportunities.

CLAUDIA EYZAGUIRRE, B.S., is a solar policy advocate at the Vote Solar Initiative. She trained as a grassroots organizer with Green Corps and has worked for several national environmental organizations. Eyzaguirre has a degree in Conservation and Natural Resources from UC Berkeley College of Natural Resources.
GWEN ROSE, B.S., is the deputy director for the Vote Solar Initiative from Marin County's solar and climate protection programs, where her work earned the "Best Progress in the Western Region" award from the Department of Energy's Million Solar Roofs Program.
