Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery in Severe Mental Illness

Understand the concepts and principles of rehabilitation and recovery for those with severe mental illness. Review the evidence base for recovery (longitudinal studies, controlled studies, and case studies) as well as some major currently identified evidence-based practices (e.g., Social Skills Training, Cognitive Rehabilitation) for the rehabilitation of those with severe mental illness. You use real-life examples and case material in this course, which is intended for mental health clinicians, social service professionals as well as occupational therapists, nurses, and others working with those with severe mental illness.
