Writing Your Life Through Verse
(1.8 ceu)
In this course we explore ways to generate an experience in our readers through poetry, with an emphasis on how language, form and the lyrical mode can generate experience that doesn't necessarily rely on storytelling. Through a guided workshop of our own work, as well as discussion of the work of others, we will attempt to explore our own lives using the language that resides inside of each of us, language that is as unique to us as our dreams and our memories, and find a way to make use of the language we do share in order to transmit this inner terrain into the world. All levels of experience are welcome.
