Working in Series
X413.3 (2 semester units in Art)
The process of working in series offers artists a unique opportunity to create related works which grow from one another within a particular idea, concept, or technical experiment and is an effective vehicle to unlock creative potential, capitalize on unexpected discoveries and uncover new forms of self-expression. Illustrated lectures introduce you to contemporary artists who work in series and the ideas behind this approach and course assignments are designed to inspire innovative thinking and encourage you to delve into your own “serial” explorations
Prerequisite: Experimental Drawing X433, Painting Workshop X470 or consent of instructor.
