Advances in the Treatment of Personality Disorders
(0.7 ceu)
7 hours CE credit: BRN, LCSW/MFT, and psychologists
Studies estimate that approximately 40 percent of the clinical population with a mood or psychotic disorder suffers from a personality disorder that is under-diagnosed or unidentified. These disorders can threaten the therapeutic alliance, treatment compliance, and ultimately, treatment outcomes. Learn conceptual frameworks and best-practice interventions that can improve treatment outcomes. You also review the biopsychosocial pathways leading to the development of personality disorders and study the concepts of differential diagnosis, which helps identify unique treatment feedback loops for each personality disorder.
