This 45-hour course prepares you to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) examination. Because both credentials require you to write a comprehensive description of your experience, online discussions and a course project give you practice describing your real-world work as a project manager using the language and concepts of the Project Management Body of Knowledge. Online quizzes and practice exams contain questions similar to the certification exams.

For fall 2009, the online courses are in an eight-week accelerated format. For spring 2010, a 12-week option will also be available.

She has more than 20 years of experience with both the technical and management aspects of software projects. Her training and consulting assignments have covered topics that include software development methodologies and strategic and tactical planning.
