Japanese II
X16 (3 semester units in East Asian Languages)
This continuation course emphasizes listening and speaking skills while developing your knowledge of basic sentence patterns and vocabulary. By the end of the course you should be able to use Japanese to make, accept, or decline invitations; request and place orders; take a taxi; dine out; ask for and give permission; ask someone not to do something; and express desires and preferences. You should also be able to write and read the two syllabic systems:
hiragana and
katakana. Enrollment is limited.
