CMOS and BiCMOS Analog Circuit Design

X432.3 (2 semester units in EECS)

A requirement in the Professional Sequence in Analog Design

This advanced course provides an understanding of analog circuit and systems design and advanced design issues. Topics include: operational amplifiers, oscillators, designing low-noise circuits, selecting passive components, linear and non-linear applications, active filters, A/D and D/A conversion, grounding and shielding, and system design. As part of the course, you select a design project for analog circuit system design by using off-the-shelf integrated circuits.

Prerequisites: B.S.E.E. or equivalent experience and familiarity with basic integrated circuit design principles. Analog Integrated CMOS Design X402 or the equivalent is recommended (note that the instructor will include a review of basic CMOS/BiCMOS process and analog circuit design). Access to SPICE simulation with printing capability is suggested but not required.
