Spanish IV

X18 (3 semester units in Spanish and Portuguese)

In this course, you reinforce your knowledge of grammar and participate actively in discussions of cultural and literary topics in Spanish. Short stories and cultural materials (newspapers, magazines, and other handouts) are introduced to stimulate class discussions, improve reading comprehension, and broaden vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. Enrollment is limited.

Prerequisite: Spanish III X17 or equivalent.

DONNA SOUTHARD, M.A., is working on her doctorate at UC Berkeley. She teaches all levels of Spanish for the university. She has also studied extensively in Spain.
