Accounting for Managers

A requirement in the Certificate Program in Business Administration and in the Certificate Program in FinanceThis course is designed for people with no accounting background but with some aptitude for numbers. After learning the basics of financial accounting, you examine how accounting information can be used for effective management. Topics include basic accounting principles, understanding financial statements, income measurement, cost-volume-profit relationships, budgeting, cost allocation, profit- and cost-center accounting, accounting for planning and control, and data for decision-making.
