Introduction to Chemistry
X16 (3 semester units in Chemistry)
This non-lab course offers an introduction to basic principles in chemistry and demonstrates the role chemistry plays in various aspects of our everyday lives.
Prerequisite: Although a background in chemistry is not necessary, students are required to have a basic knowledge of math, including algebra.

WEIWEI GU, Ph.D., obtained her doctoral degree in biophysics from UC Davis in 2003. She has held research positions in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and UCSF. She is a reviewer for ACS journals Nano Letts and Analytic Chemistry. She now devotes her professional efforts to teaching.NOTE: This section is temporarily closed.
