Color Theory I
X427 (1 semester unit in Design)
Based on Josef Albers's book
Interaction of Color, this workshop includes exercises in color intensity and brightness, transparency, color intervals, mixtures, and other perceptual effects. Lectures, demonstrations, and exercises explore the effects that color has on people and on the environment. This course is for those who want to understand color relationships and human perception.

JONATHAN WEAST, M.A., Syracuse University, is an educator, illustrator, and graphic designer. He has been teaching color theory and design courses for 10 years at public and private colleges, and his work has won awards from Print Magazine and the Pastel Society of the West Coast.
