Professional Applications of AutoCAD
X438 (2 semester units in Architecture)
A requirement in the Certificate Program in Interior Design and Interior ArchitectureAfter a quick review of projects produced in AutoCAD Design Studio, this class progresses into more advanced commands such as xrefs, blocks with attributes, xclip. You learn to produce drawings in "paper space" and plot them on large sheets and multiple viewports. Detailed drawings of plans and elevations are taken to the design development level.
Note: Bring one USB flash drive, 256 MB minimum, to the first class.
Prerequisite: AutoCAD Design Studio X437 or consent of instructor.

STEPHEN WONG, M.Arch., is an associate and project manager with KMD Architects. He has spent a majority of his career integrating software into design documents and construction documentation. He has taught, lectured and critiqued throughout the West Coast, including UC Berkeley Extension since 2001, and as a graduate faculty advisor at the Academy of Art University.Revised class schedule in red.

DAVID KESLER, M.Arch., AIA, is the principal of David Kesler Architect and he teaches AutoCAD and design at a number of colleges and universities in the Bay Area. He has exhibited work at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco and is working on an interior design textbook.NOTE: This class is closed.
