Spiritual Dimensions of Recovery
(0.7 ceu)
7 hours CE credit: BRN, LCSW/MFT, CAADAC
The first step of the AA program is admitting that addiction means being out of control. Acknowledging the powerlessness of the ego is actually the beginning of a spiritual path. Carl Jung, in his correspondence with Bill Wilson, one of the founders of AA, said that alcoholism was a spiritual disease requiring a spiritual program of recovery. In this intensive seminar, you learn exactly how this process can happen. You also learn how counseling addicted clients can serve to integrate psychological work and mature spiritual clarity. This workshop is intended for counselors who work with addicts, alcoholics, or individuals with dual diagnoses.
