Performance Analysis and Needs Assessment
X491 (1 semester unit in Business Administration)
This course provides practical and proven concepts, models, approaches, tools, and techniques to help you determine whether training is appropriate for your organization's needs. The course also focuses on identifying specific training needs and on the process for establishing the necessary support and commitment to make training successful.
You learn how to use a systems approach to performance analysis and needs assessment; apply various tools, techniques, and data-gathering methods to determine whether training is an appropriate intervention; and analyze the results of the performance analysis and needs assessment to identify specific training needs and recommend courses of action. The course features lectures, group discussions, reading assignments, and in-class projects.
