A requirement in the Certificate Program in Teaching ESLReview the theories of first- and second-language acquisition, comparing and contrasting issues involved in both. In addition, you carefully examine theories of bilingualism.
Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Linguistics for ESL Teachers X416.

SEDIQUE POPAL, Ed.D., a teacher and educator since 1980, has taught ESL/EFL in Asia and Europe. He has made presentations to TESOL, CATESOL, NABE, and CABE organizations. He teaches at the College of Alameda and the University of San Francisco.
