UNIX/Linux Web and Database Servers

Learn to understand and manage Web/database services (Apache2, PHP, PERL, MySQL) on UNIX/Linux-based systems (UNIX-Solaris, AIX, HPUX, BSD and others; Linux; or Mac OS X). Learn how to install and configure these services and understand the interaction of these services and system security. Understand how to perform the typical duties of the system administrator when managing a system providing these services.
Prerequisites:
UNIX/Linux System Administration III: Services X444.2 (and all prerequisites to this course). Participants should have access to a UNIX/Linux-based system to do homework on, with a printer or e-mail and access to the Internet (not necessarily on the UNIX system).

Courses are offered three terms per year: spring, summer, fall. Information about upcoming courses is available when enrollment opens each term.
- Spring term: Enrollment opens in early December. Classes begin in January.
- Summer term: Enrollment opens in early April. Classes begin in late May.
- Fall term: Enrollment opens in early July. Classes begin in August.
