Only Connect: Eclectic Readings, Eclectic Writers
There are currently no sections open for enrollment.
Is that a poem, an essay, or a "novel-play with pictures"? Reflecting a variety of literary forms, this literature course explores E.M. Forster's quip "Only connect" with a selection of offbeat and off-the-beaten-track writings and films that range across the landscape of the familiar and the not so familiar. Students learn to recognize and establish lasting connections between the texts and films and their own lives. Particular attention is paid to the artistic agenda each author employs. In the seemingly peripheral we explore the certainly central.
