X411.1 (1 semester unit in Architecture)

An elective in the Professional Program in Sustainable Design

Examine interior architectural spaces and the steps the designer uses to maximize the sustainability of a project. You examine real-world projects and available materials. The course is team-taught by leading, nationally recognized professionals who bring the most cutting-edge information to the class. Gensler's Melissa Mizell—along with guest lecturers from the engineering, lighting, and design fields—inspire new, energy-efficient design ideas that emerge in student projects. The course is a must for interior designers seeking to create healthy, beautiful, and productive spaces that lightly impact our planet.
