Learning From the Masters: Techniques of the Literary Greats

An elective in the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program in Writing

Develop your skills in creating fiction by closely studying the work and methods of great writers as diverse as Raymond Carver, James Baldwin, Ernest Hemingway and Alice Munro. Examine how these authors draw the reader in, introduce tension, sustain momentum, and use vivid details and specific incidents to create unforgettable settings and characters. Enrollment is limited.
