An elective in the Professional Program in Sustainable Design

Learn the fundamentals of this whole-systems design approach to creating sustainable settlements and enterprises. Topics include ecological design approaches and techniques, zones, sectors, sustainable community strategies, soil building and remediation, water storage and harvesting, local food production, eco-economics, and more. You also study visioning and planning, as well as pattern application and community governance. Prepare to connect to urban permaculture community resources, networks, and projects.
