There are currently no sections open for enrollment.
X447.4 (2 semester units in EECS)
Building Java enterprise applications requires carefully evaluating available frameworks. This course provides deeper insights into three popular frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, and Seam. It highlights the advantages and limitations of each framework by working through case studies and implementation techniques. The focus is on state management, including declarative management of persistence and transactions, mechanisms to model Web "conversations" spanning a sequence of screens, and approaches to combining these and other frameworks.
