Eugenia Kaw, M.A., Ph.D., is a published, award-winning scholar with nine years of experience as an elementary school teacher, as well as experience leading professional workshops for teachers. In addition to her academic degrees, she holds a CLAD teaching credential and a reading specialist credential.

A requirement in the CLAD Through CTEL program and in the Professional Program in English Learner Pedagogy; an elective in the Professional Program in Adult EducationLearn the principles and design of standards-based assessments and instruction for English-language learners and the relationship to identifying students’ strengths and needs in English language and literacy development and academic achievement.
Note: Because the foundation for CTEL 3: Assessment of English Learners is provided in CTEL 4: Foundations and Methods of English Language/Literacy Development and Content Instruction, you should take CTEL 4 before taking CTEL 3.
