A requirement in the Professional Program in Women and Leadership; an elective in the Certificate Program in Leadership and ManagementAcquire the specific skills needed to rise to leadership positions, and get practical information that helps you advance your career, including networking, the use of power, organizational politics, nondefensive communication, negotiation, public speaking, personal accountability, and self-nurturing and limit setting. Through lecture, discussion, and interactive exercises, you learn skills that help you excel in today's workplace and apply high standards of ethical practice and compassionate leadership. Several guest speakers augment the topics and provide diverse perspectives.
