California Special Civil Surveying P.E. Exam Review
There are currently no sections open for enrollment.
X400.3 (1 semester unit in Civ. & Env. Eng.)
Prepare to pass the California special Civil "Engineering Survey" professional engineer (P.E.) exam, offered in April and October. This two-and-a-half-hour exam is one of three that is required for California Civil P.E. licensing. Examine the test structure, analyze the complexity of its content, and learn to develop an effective study plan. Master practical knowledge in engineering surveying and learn how to manage your time effectively. You learn proven test strategies and apply them to sample tests in class.
This is a fast-paced exam preparation class; basic engineering principles are expected and are not covered in class. You should already be well-versed in the subject matter (i.e., usually a graduate from a civil engineering school). To cover the large amount of required topics, you are expected to spend considerable amount of time at home studying in order to keep up with the pace of this class.
You should meet the minimum qualifications to sit for the examination as set by the State Board, which include the necessary educational and/or qualifying experience. You should have already completed the Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) exam. You should have also completed an "Application for a License as a Professional Engineer," including payment of all the mandatory fees by the required deadline in anticipation of sitting for the examination test date.
