X482.3 (3 semester units in Architecture)

A requirement in the Certificate Program in Interior Design and Interior Architecture

Evolving technology and economic and cultural shifts have changed the way we work. Is the office as we once knew it still relevant? This studio explores the new work environment. You design a workspace for a consulting and stregy firm that employs an interdisciplinary group of designers and business experts. During that process, you examine different modes of work and interaction to investigate how interior design, technology, sustainability, furniture and finishes can work together to support a vital work environment.

Prerequisites: Design Studio II X482.2, Fundamentals of Lighting Design X484, Building Components and Systems for Interior Architecture X483 and Digital Presentation Techniques X481; experience with presentation software applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Indesign or Apply Keynote
