Introduction to Web Technology Entrepreneurship

Learn about Web technology entrepreneurship in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Examine launch strategies and action-oriented steps that can turn a new idea into a profitable company. Begin with a broad overview of the startup ecosystem and culture, and then delve into website product development. Gain a practical understanding of marketing and finance. Web technology entrepreneurship is a highly technical subject matter, and this introductory course involves technical implementation, though no prior technical experience is required.

Courses are offered three terms per year: spring, summer, fall. Information about upcoming courses is available when enrollment opens each term.
- Spring term: Enrollment opens in early December. Classes begin in January.
- Summer term: Enrollment opens in early April. Classes begin in late May.
- Fall term: Enrollment opens in early July. Classes begin in August.

Allan Chao, B.A., is a serial entrepreneur who founded Startup V8, a consulting company for early stage Web startups. In addition to Startup V8, he has founded and co-founded several other companies, including those that market both Web and mobile apps. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley and completed the UC Berkeley Extension Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management with distinction.
