Hannah Tandeta, M.F.A., has taught a wide range of courses in art history at Mills College, California College of the Arts and other colleges throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Her research interests include the connections between art and music, utopian art movements and the iconography of fashion.

An elective in the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Visual ArtsExamine American visual culture, and think critically about the United States as a multicultural, fast-moving, visually oriented and technologically advanced nation. Beginning with the indigenous cultures of the preconquest Americas, trace the country’s collective history through cultural objects, and contextually analyze works of art, craft and architecture. Discover how artists, their work, and critical and theoretical discussions functioned within specific communities and at specific moments in American history.
