Strategic Energy Control: Future Promise
There are currently no sections open for enrollment.
Find out why strategic energy control (SEC) can be a smart approach for reducing energy consumption in this informative free event. SEC expert Yilmaz Sahinkaya describes the benefits of controlling the amplitude and duration of electrical power, and outlines the technical specifications of these breakthrough technologies. He then goes on to discuss the wide range of systems that SEC can manage, including smart grids; automated machine tools; robotics; and water, natural gas and oil pipeline systems.
Beyond the technology lies a promise of significant energy savings across a broad spectrum of society. Sahinkaya discusses the potential benefits of using SEC, which some simulations project as leading to a 30-percent overall savings in energy usage. Such a dramatic outcome would have widespread reverberations for our energy policies and our day-to-day lives. Join UC Berkeley Extension for an evening presentation to understand the promise and benefits of these new energy technologies.
