Mark E. Bettini, M.B.A., Extension Honored Instructor, teaches Essentials of Business and numerous accounting
courses at UC Berkeley Extension, in both IDP and the public programs. For more than 20 years, he has been a college instructor, accountant and management consultant. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from Santa Clara University, and during his undergraduate years, he studied at Loyola University in Rome, Italy. He later received an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, specializing in the areas of finance and accounting. He has been teaching at UC Berkeley Extension since 1991.
Along with part-time teaching, Bettini has considerable experience in the areas of litigation support, health care management, small-business consultation and e-commerce. He currently works as the CFO for Berkeley Patients Group, Inc. His previous employers include Dagobah Systems, Inc., a small-business consulting firm in the Bay Area; streetnet.com; Peterson & Co. Consulting; Heals Health Services; St. Luke's Hospital; and Kaplan Educational Centers. He has also developed numerous educational programs
for both domestic and international audiences for UC Berkeley Extension.
Bettini was named the 2004 Honored Instructor by the Business and
Technology department at UC Berkeley Extension.
