First Course: Introduction to Food Writing
There are currently no sections open for enrollment.
This full-day, intensive course covers many aspects of food writing, including restaurant reviews, recipes and full-length cookbooks. Through in-class exercises, lectures and discussions, you learn about opportunities to write about food for traditional publications and online media. If possible, bring a one- to two-page review of a restaurant, a cookbook or a film in which food plays a part.
Enrollment is limited.
Future-Term Courses and Enrollments
Courses are offered three terms per year: spring, summer, fall. Information about upcoming courses is available when enrollment opens each term.
- Spring term: Enrollment opens in early December. Classes begin in January.
- Summer term: Enrollment opens in early April. Classes begin in late May.
- Fall term: Enrollment opens in early July. Classes begin in August.
