Marjorie Baer Scholarship Award Recipients

Marjorie Baer Scholarship for Editorial Excellence

The Marjorie Baer Scholarship for Editorial Excellence is a collaboration between Peachpit Press, a Berkeley-based division of Pearson Education, and UC Berkeley Extension. The scholarship was established in honor of Marjorie Baer, a former senior executive editor at Peachpit Press, in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the publishing community and her boundless passion for mentoring editors and authors alike.

The Marjorie Baer Scholarship for Editorial Excellence covers the full cost of UC Berkeley Extension's highly respected Professional Sequence in Editing, the only program of its kind in the Bay Area. The scholarship includes the program registration fee and enrollment fees for the four courses in the editing sequence. The cost of textbooks and other supplies is not included. Students must finish the program within three years of enrolling in the first course. Courses are available in Extension locations throughout the Bay Area and online.
