Synchrotron Radiation
and Its Applications
June 26-30, 2006
Cost of attendance
Single Occupancy: $795 for the one-week program
(Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning), including lectures, shared room, breakfast and lunch, and local transportation from the lecture site to the two synchrotron radiation facilities.
Double Occupancy: $650 for the one-week program
(Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning), including lectures, shared room, breakfast and lunch, and local transportation from the lecture site to the two synchrotron radiation facilities.
Commuter: $425 for the one-week course program
(Sunday afternoon through Friday evening), including lectures, daily lunches, and local transportation from the lecture site to the two synchrotron radiation facilities. Sleeping accommodations are not included.
Fee includes the following:
- Five days of instruction
- Program materials (course notes and textbook)
- Daily continental breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks Monday-Friday
- Refreshments at the Sunday and Friday receptions
Prospective summer school participants need to submit an application in order to be considered for participation in the 2006 Berkeley-Stanford Summer School on Synchrotron Radiation.
Application should include brief academic record, a statement describing the intended research area and how a knowledge of synchrotron radiation would enhance those studies, a list of publications (if any), and information on how to reach the applicant by e-mail and phone through the period extending to the time of the summer school.

Enrollment is limited and early application is strongly recommended. Please submit your application no later than May 26, 2006. Applicants will be notified via e-mail regarding their application status. Once an applicant is officially accepted, payment of the enrollment fee is due to confirm your place in the course.
