Buying Books for FPF
You may be eager to purchase your books and get started on class reading. However, changes to class schedules are sometimes necessary, as conflicts may arise. To be safe, it's best to wait until your fall schedule is finalized.
If you decide to go ahead and buy textbooks or other course material, please check the store's return policy, to be sure you can get a refund on your purchase.
Note: Not all classes use textbooks. Some use class readers, which will be made available by your instructors.
Buying Online
You can buy books online at efollett.com.
To navigate to the right section of the site:
Under "Select Your State—Colleges and Universities", select "California"
Under "Select Your Institution", select "University of California, Berkeley"
Click "Textbooks"
Select Your Program: Main Campus
Select Your Term: Fall
Select Your Department: FPF books are listed by class, but each class is preceded by an "FPF". Example: Psychology at FPF is listed as "FPFPSYCH". English at FPF is listed at "FPFENGL". Choosing a department without an "FPF" will take you to the wrong books.
Select Your Course: Several departments have multiple courses, such as English R1A, R1B, and 31AC. Choose the appropriate one using your FPF Study List, which you should receive by mid-August.
Select Your Section: Different sections are taught by different teachers who may use a different set of books. Choose the appropriate one using your Study List.
