UC Berkeley Extension Summer 2012 Term Opens for Enrollment

More than 500 continuing education and professional development courses now accepting students

Berkeley, Calif. (April 16, 2012)—UC Berkeley Extension is now enrolling students for the summer 2012 term. The continuing education branch of the University of California, Berkeley, UC Berkeley Extension offers professional development and personal enrichment in the classroom and online for adults in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. In addition to offering more than 500 courses, Extension is now accepting registrations for the Professional Program in Data Administration and Management.

Designed for entry-level data owners or database administrators, the program provides a comprehensive, diversified understanding of database principles and enhances traditional Structured Query Language (SQL) knowledge. Each course offers practical information-processing skills needed in information technology, finance, marketing and other corporate settings. Technically inclined operations professionals who wish to change careers are also encouraged to register.

This curriculum joins more than 80 professional certificates and specialized programs of study in areas ranging from accounting and visual arts to wine studies and college admission counseling. Professional certificates signify the highest level of academic achievement from UC Berkeley Extension. Academic advisory boards comprising industry experts, UC Berkeley professors and Extension academic staff oversee and approve all certificate curricula. Specialized programs of study provide focused subject concentrations that enable students to develop skills within specific disciplines. Get details about Extension's certificates and programs.
