Mission Statement

The Oxford/Berkeley Program is the original prototype for adult travel/study programs and has retained its original mission of making an Oxford education accessible to adult students. Both young and mature minds have benefited from this long tradition of academic excellence and intellectual challenge. In addition to an invigorating scholarly experience, this program provides a warm sense of community amongst participants and many find themselves eager to return year after year. There is indeed a certain magic to the daily rhythm of learning from an English don, discussing new insights with classmates over tea and cookies, sharing meals with friends, and strolling through the gardens in quiet contemplation. On the weekends you may find yourself digging up a rare document at the Bodleian Library or hiking through the English countryside or catching an award–winning play at the theater in London.
