With UC Berkeley Extension's Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions Program, you're ready to join others who have taken courses, completed the program, and succeeded in gaining admission to a wide range of medical, dental, veterinary, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy and other healthcare programs.

Program Requirements

To earn a certificate of completion in the Post-Baccalaureate Health Professions Program, students must complete at least 24 semester units and maintain at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA, and complete Health Careers Seminar parts I and II. The program must be completed in a maximum of three years. Credits earned in online sections are not applicable toward the certificate. How to Apply

To apply for this program you must submit the following:

• an official, sealed transcript from an accredited undergraduate institution verifying that you earned a baccalaureate degree and maintained a grade point average (GPA) equal to or above 3.0;
• any additional transcripts (official and sealed) from all other undergraduate and graduate institutions attended;
• a short statement of purpose (250 words or less) describing how the UC Berkeley Extension post-baccalaureate program will help you reach your career goals, including explanations of any withdrawals from courses and interrupted academic progress;
• a UC Berkeley Extension program application form along with a non-refundable application fee
• Three Letters of Recommendation (a minimum of one from an academic reference) (effective September 2008).
