Students registered in the existing program will be able to complete the five required courses or transfer into the new Business Intelligence and SAS Analytics Software program. Instructor for all courses: JIANMIN LIU, Ph.D., is senior vice president of business banking risk management at Wells Fargo Bank in modeling and data infrastructure areas. Previously, he was SVP in statistical modeling and data mining for the Consumer Credit Group of Wells Fargo Bank. He is also an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, teaching finance, econometrics, and data mining. Liu earned his Ph.D. and master's degree from UC Berkeley. Program prerequisites: Prior experience with another programming language is helpful but not required.
A grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher is required in order to earn the certificate; each course must be completed with a grade of C or higher. A minimum of 150 hours of coursework is required, and all courses must be completed within two years.
On successful completion of all five courses, you are awarded a certificate from UC Berkeley Extension.
