Systems Analysis

Systems analysis is expected to be among the fastest-growing occupations through
2010, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. Prepare yourself for entry into this dynamic
field. Our three-course curriculum focuses
on the techniques and approaches used by professional analysts when they develop effective
business information systems. Learn the critical aspects of all phases of the system development
cycle and be able to apply your knowledge successfully to the planning, analysis, design, and
implementation of new systems in the business environment.
Requirements
The professional sequence consists of three required courses for a total of 120 hours:
All coursework must be completed within
two years, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and no grade lower than a C in
any course.
On successful completion of all three courses, you are awarded a certificate of completion
from UC Berkeley Extension.
Registration Procedure
We recommend that you register for the professional sequence before you begin your second course in the program. To register, please (1) complete and submit the
Program Registration Form or (2) print out and complete the form at
www.unex.berkeley.edu/cert/certproginfo.html. Mail or fax it as it indicates, and include the nonrefundable registration fee. Professional sequence registration cannot be taken by phone.
Requirements may be updated based on new developments in the field of study; we recommend completing the program in a timely fashion.
