Wealth management is an advanced area of financial planning. Subject areas include financial engineering, philanthropy, tax issues, and portfolio management. Students also focus on developing critical relationship-building and client-retention skills.

A UC Berkeley Extension professional sequence earns participants a respected credential certifying successful completion of a high-caliber, in-depth course of study.

Program Requirements

To earn a certificate of completion, participants must complete 12 semesters or 180 hours of instruction. A minimum GPA of 2.5 must be maintained.

Prerequisites

For success in the program, we recommend a bachelor's degree and at least two years in the financial services industry.

How to Begin

To begin the program, simply enroll in your first class.

Registration Procedure

We recommend that you register for the professional sequence before you begin your second course in the program. To register, please (1) complete and submit the Program Registration Form or (2) print out and complete the form at www.unex.berkeley.edu/cert/certproginfo.html. Mail or fax it as it indicates, and include the nonrefundable registration fee. Professional sequence registration cannot be taken by phone.

Requirements may be updated based on new developments in the field of study; we recommend completing the program in a timely fashion.

Substitutions, Waivers and Transfer Credit

This program does not accept substitutions, waivers, or transfer credit.

Refunds, Withdrawals and Cancellations

For all refund, withdrawal or cancellation issues, please refer to www.unex.berkeley.edu/info/enrollment.html#refunds. Note: Work obligations do not qualify as an exception in terms of the refund policy.
