Certificate Program in Business Administration
The Certificate Program in Business Administration introduces the fundamental concepts and practices of business to develop a broad-based practical understanding of its context, purpose and underlying functional areas: accounting, economics, finance, marketing and management.
Prerequisites for Admission
The curriculum consists of 6 required courses and 1 elective course for a total of 15 semester units (225 hours of instruction). Candidates must pay a nonrefundable certificate registration fee.
All courses must be taken for a letter grade. You must maintain an overall minimum 2.5 grade point average, with a grade of C or better in each course. A Certificate with Distinction will be awarded to those who complete the certificate with a GPA of 3.9 or higher (effective to those who register beginning Sept. 1, 2016). All coursework must be completed within five years of registering for the certificate. Most students take one-and-a-half to two years to complete the program.
