Inside the London Theater Scene
17th Annual Program
July 9-28, 2007

Over three weeks in London, you get the opportunity to learn how plays are put together, to attend and critique performances, and to meet with distinguished members of the thespian community in a city renowned for its theatrical riches. Morning sessions—facilitated by premier London theater critics Matt Wolf and Mark Shenton—feature talks by leading British actors, directors, designers, and playwrights.

Evenings are spent attending 12 London theatrical performances, which include performances at the National Theatre, as well as West End and fringe productions. Former guests include playwright Michael Frayn and actors Judi Dench and Simon Russell Beale. You reside in Canterbury Hall, a University of London dormitory, centrally located in the charming and historic Bloomsbury District. (EDP 285288)

""Lynne Kaufman, M.A., the on-site coordinator, is an award-winning playwright who has had a dozen full-length plays produced in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
