Successful leaders know how to wield power and influence the right people, in the right way and at the right time. Learn to use power and influence effectively and ethically in everyday work situations. Through lectures, discussions, case studies, demonstrations and interactive exercises, you gain the skills that can help you successfully influence anyone from direct reports to senior leaders.

  • Learn about power and its relationship to influence
  • Discover the six sources of power and how to benefit from using them in the right way and under the right circumstances
  • Understand strengths and weaknesses within the context of the four mastery areas of influence
  • Quickly analyze objectives and goals, the rationale behind wanting to achieve them and develop strategic influence plans to attain them
  • Stage influence to get stakeholders and opinion leaders to back proposals
  • Develop compelling presentations that keep audiences engaged
  • Discover why people say no and how to turn that around
  • Identify your personal style and how that affects power and influence
