Course Objectives
- Apply concepts to real-world applications, including globalization and automation of the supply chain
- Create long-range strategy, medium-term design and real-time execution plans
- Understand the components and competencies of GSCM
- Plan for the required GSCM support of the competitive strategy
- Comprehend purchasing and strategic sourcing methods
- Identify correct production designs to deliver the GSCM strategies
- Demonstrate capability in logistics management of transportation and warehousing
- Design technology, people and facility networks
- Understand international trade operations, INCO terms, currency and regulations
- Analyze landed costs and strategic profit margins
- Jointly consider risk, security, cost and service issues
- Work with third parties such as freight forward, 3PL, trade associations and customs brokers
- Deploy best practices and future sustainable methods
